We hit a new course this past weekend, Slippery Rock University. We were both unimpressed, to say the least. You can read our comments & opinions about that course in the courses section. However, that sparked our desire to visit more new courses. Part of the joy I have for this sport is the road trip quality of it. You grab some water, some Gatorade, a few granola bars & just take off to some random area. As we were driving up to Slippery Rock, we were both commenting on how rarely we're in that town. Disc golfing forced us to go places we wouldn't normally go.
With that all being said, we're thinking about Beatty in Steubenville, OH this coming weekend. It has good ratings at www.dgcoursereview.com & isn't too far way. I still feel kind of silly driving a while to a course when there are closer courses that we haven't played yet. Grove City, Monroeville, Philips, etc are closer than Beatty, but don't rate as well. The point is, I'm sure we'll play on many new courses over the next few months. We're really trying to get out more often, but schedules & weather have kicked our ass recently.
Tomorrow evening will be a local course, probably Knob Hill or Moraine. We are truly blessed to be living where we are, when it comes to disc golf at least. Knob Hill, Moraine, & Deer Lakes are awesome courses just a few miles from our homes. It's fantastic having those kind of options.
If anyone has any opinions on Monroeville, Grove City, Beatty, or any other course that you don't see on our site, please le
